Moon Music
Native Loudoun County trio, Moon Music, forged a partnership almost a decade ago, with a signature nuanced three-part harmony vocal sound, backed by beautiful piano, and acoustic guitar. Jim Moon, acclaimed pianist and guitarist had been playing in classic rock band, Mr. Jimmy, alongside fellow musician, Mary Alyce. The two then joined forces again, along with Deb Dalby, singer and percussionist, to complete the Moon Music trio. Moon Music is known for their original arrangements, of “unlikely covers” for a vocal trio - songs by Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, U2 and many more.
When Jim Moon invited two friends to his studio one afternoon to "woodshed" some harmonies, he had no notion of what might happen. Mary Alyce Wicks and Debra Dalby brought different musical backgrounds and singing styles to the studio that day. Yet their voices, each distinct on their own, blended with such ease, grace and style. It seemed too good to be true -- beautiful voices, ringing harmonies -- and everyone got along! Moon Music was born in an instant!

Gary Smallwood
Gary Smallwood started performing professionally when he was 16 years old. A popular local band asked him to fill the guitar vacancy. The other band members were older and did a bit of touring to nearby cities, sometimes rushing him home after a gig just in time to be dropped off at his school bus stop!
Gary started his love of music by signing up for drums & percussion classes through high school, and became interested in the bass guitar. His parents bought him a Fender bass & amp and he taught himself to play using his favorite records such as The Beatles, Sly & the Family Stone, and others as influences. He received the album “Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs” by Derek & The Dominoes, where he maintains, “that’s where I learned all my licks”.
Gary has shared the stage with or supported such great acts as Robin Trower, Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush, the late great Jeff Healey, Elliott Easton (the Cars), Marshall Tucker Band, Molly Hatchet, The Outlaws, Johnny Winter, Craig & Patrick Fuller (Pure Prairie League), Bill Payne (Little Feat), Bret Michaels, Catfish Hodge, Michael Fath, and many more. His guitar playing has been highly sought after by musicians and the public. He has loaned his talents to many bands as a ‘sideman’ and in the studio on numerous recording projects and demo recordings.
Gary’s style of music consists of Classic Rock, Country Rock, and soulful Blues Rock. He has a great appreciation for all types of music and sometimes will incorporate soul, R&B, funk, country, and ‘show tunes’ into his playing. Gary also gives back to the community by playing shows for numerous benefits and charities throughout the region. He is a well-respected and hard-working musician, playing 200+ shows a year.

Shane Gamble

Building on the success of his single “Beautiful Work,” which cracked the Top 40 on the Billboard charts, Maryland-based singer/songwriter Shane Gamble is set to release 12 new songs on his label, Rt. 50 Music, in 2025. The album, which is yet to be titled, features the singles “My Sweet Louise”, “Headlights Through the Smoke”, and “She Calls Me Baby”, which have been pre-released for online streaming only. “This captures where I am as an artist and storyteller, I can’t wait to put the whole collection of songs out there!”
Sonically speaking, these new recordings sound bigger than anything Gamble has done in the past; the guitars grind, and the lyrics take an outsider view on how the modern country business operates. “I wanted to be real and candid,” says Shane. “there is a place for honest storytelling-based music, especially today when some music feels crafted with commerce in mind.”
Shane has enjoyed the success of his debut album and the Top 10 single “Turn My Way,” a pop/country tune that’s punchy and poignant. Thanks to the groundbreaking SiriusXM country music channel, The Highway, Shane was able to crash the party as an independent artist, garnering new fans across the globe and making a splash in the music industry crowd.
Shane’s most recent full-length effort, “Night Like This”, was released in 2023 and features 16 tracks that showcase his ability to seamlessly blend country, rock, pop, and Americana. Gamble tracked the album in Nashville with heavy-hitting Nashville session players such as Jerry Roe on Drums, Sol Littlefield on Guitar, Sean Hurley on Bass, and Smith Curry on pedal Steel.
